NORTHAMPTON CROQUET CLUB: RULES, PROCEDURE

AND OTHER STUFF THAT CAN CHANGE 2009

• The rules committee for the tournament will be all the past champions in attendance.

• Tournament committee members or appointed tournament referees will make rulings during play.

• Custom mallets:

  Will be inspected and approved for play by rules committee or appointed technical inspectors.

  Players using approved custom mallets will use the same mallet for the entire tournament. No time will be given for repairs in case of failures during play. Any mallets repaired during the tournament will need to be resubmitted for inspection.

  If the tournament champion is using a custom mallet his /her mallet will become the property of the Northampton Croquet Club.

The head of a mallet may be of any material provided the player gains no playing advantage over wood.  The end-faces shall be parallel and shall have identical playing characteristics.  Bevelled edges are not part of the end-faces.
